a fren mentioned that late last nite on msn when chatting about peoples behaviour and character. that statement took me by surprise partly due to the nature of the word, and secondly thats quite a huge claim to make. didnt give it further thought till today when out with M. was lamenting to myself the fact that theres subtle changes and loud differences here and there; and suddenly i recall my fren's words, which hit me like a bolt-our discomfort in dealing with the differences stems partly from the fact that we have a certain impression/image of a person that we tend to wanna hold onto, and any metamorphosis, no matter how slight, can be very unsettling. sad thing is hardly anyone remains e same with time, and when that happens... haiz how 'heartening' indeed.
i was to receive another huge jolt back home when i saw a letter from DBS, lying innocuously on my desk, therein lies the debit card statement. from 13th to 27th jul, i chalked up $856.25 worth of purchases, some of which i couldnt remember at all. i promptly died on e spot.
