Hmm, finished watching that show, really very intriguing. I wish I can just watch the entire season at 1 go!! haha. The plot really thickens and I especially enjoy seeing how each of the 4 women keep the skeletons in their closets safe from the others' knowledge. How nice if I can have the entire season's DVD collection, it would really help to kill boredom. Sex and City was good enough, but this takes entertainment to a whole new level indeed. Not as much sexual innuendoes too, which could be a good thing at times haha. Could really do with some spicing up of my life. Am so thoroughly consumed by boredom I could cry. I've never felt so aimless in life before!!! It seems life's in a limbo now with no NS. Working plainly sucks, and teaching tuition is only but a part-time stint. What can I do to pass time meaningfully? It seems there's a void in my life but I couldn't place a finger on what is missing. ggrrrhhh... what could it be?? I think I need to draw closer to God, have been neglecting him at times. I remembered yesterday's sermon on the parable about the woman and the judge (Luke 18). For those who dunno, it is about this persistent widow who keeps finding this judge to grant her justice against her adversary. Now this judge neither cares about his people nor fears God. So for some time ,the woman's pleas were unheeded, but after some time, the judge decided to see to her getting justice so that she would stop bothering him.
What the parable tries to show us is that we should always pray and not give up. Though I personally disagree with and question the 'analogy' used, I still find it very heartening to know that God always hears our prayers, and that he'll never put us off. Matthew 7:7 says : Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. It is verses like these that provide hope and anchor faith in times of trouble.
Anyway, that provided some food for thought. Went to Jared's place after lunch to play 'How to Host a Teenage Mystery', wasn't that fun since played 'How to Host a Murder' the week before, novelty isn't there any more. 'Acquire' was quite boring too, stocks and shares do not really interest me much. Dinner was next at Aunt's. As usual, overate. Damn. All the exercises gone down the drain. It's absolutely infuriating to see how easily 1 good meal can undo all the hard work you put in for a week. Well, nvm haha, at least I had a lot of good food, yum.... Overall quite a satisfactory weekend, hopefully I have better line-ups for months to come!!
